THE ILLAWARRA GRAMMAR SCHOOL (TIGS)

The Illawarra Grammar School (TIGS) is an independent, co-educational school with an enrolment of over 950 students from Preparatory to Year 12. Property Management were continually receiving complaints from staff, students and contract cleaners regarding the consumables used in the bathrooms throughout the entire campus. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a great deal of toilet paper and paper towel was being wasted and thrown away as the rolls depleted to 30% or less, with a new roll required. Furthermore, it was discovered that the majority of the soap dispensers were faulty or harbouring mouldy unusable soap remanence.
TBC Distribution was identified as a local supplier capable of providing a complete range of bathroom solutions. A product trial was implemented and new ESG Green Washroom products were trialled. Due to the overwhelming success of the trials, the entire campus was converted to ESG toilet paper, handtowel, soap and hand sanitiser dispensers.
This changeover has resulted in not only a 12% reduction in waste, but a significant cost reduction in overall consumable usage. The bathrooms themselves are now cleaner, the soap and sanitiser dispensers are foolproof, and the cleaners have commented on their ease of use. Staff and student complaints decreased to zero and in turn staff satisfaction and morale was increased. TBC Distribution became the preferred supplier and have been servicing TIGS ever since.

Warrigal Care built a brand new, $70 million-dollar Aged Care Home and Independent Living Community in Shell Cove, NSW. Centre features 128 beds and various on-site resident facilities including a hairdresser, day spa, activity and craft areas created specifically for the home's customers. In addition, there is a public lobby with bistro, library, function and meeting facilities. A complete site fit out was required using only quality products that are compliant to OH&S laws.
TBC Distribution was identified as being able to provide a complete range of chemical products without the need of using multiple suppliers. It implemented a cleaning management plan that included:
Installation of kitchen chemical dispenser and supplying housekeeping needs for cleaning, kitchen and laundry staff
Arranging Safety Data Sheets (SDS), hazardous chemical charts and user charts
Training of new staff in safe chemical handling
Ongoing calls from a dedicated account management to ensure adequate stock levels on hand
Ongoing monthly service calls and reporting of dispensing equipment
Installation completed within five days to a high standard. Management felt confident they could launch the new care home to both resident and staff satisfaction.
